A journey to discover the beauties of the lake Iseo and Franciacorta, the land renown in the whole world for its “bubbles”... a full day trip in search of the hidden lake Iseo with its medieval hamlets and Franciacorta
The first brief stop will be the hamlet of Pisogne renowned for its old town, its nice lake side promenade but more than anything else for the magnificent church of Santa Maria della Neve famous for the Romanino’s frescoes.
We will proceed to Sulzano harbour where a boat will take us to the largest European lake island, Monte Isola. You will be able to stroll along the cobbled streets, little squares, the narrow alleys of the beautiful ancient hamlets loosing yourself in this silent and timeless atmosphere. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb up to the top of the island to fully admire the incredible views of the lake and the two small islands S. Paolo and Loreto.
We cannot miss the opportunity to visit the capital of the lake, the resort of Iseo. Its lively squares, the church of S. Andrea, the stunning medieval castle of the ancient Oldofredi family, the lake side promenade with lots of shops, restaurants and bars where you can rest and have something to eat and drink before we leave for Franciacorta.
Along the wine roads we will reach Capriolo with the winery Ricci Curbastro where you will be able to visit the wine museum with four thematic rooms that will lead us to the discovery of the production processes of Franciacorta DOCG and Curtefranca DOC wines. You will be able to visit the wine cellars and of course not to be missed the organised wine testing.
The last stop before we reach the hotel is the small medieval hamlet of Riva di Solto, we would like to recommend you a stroll along the cobbled streets to discover the hidden alleys and small intimate squares whilst admiring the stunning architecture of the antique villas overlooking the lake.
