Lake Moro on foot or by bike

if you are looking for the uncontaminated nature with enchanted landscapes of a small alpine lake secluded among the Valle Camonica mountains this is the itinerary that you should go for!

The departure is simple from Costa Volpino along the road and then take the cycle path of the river Oglio, one of the longest and most articulated in our area. Immersed in the nature of the surrounding countryside that enters the Camonica Valley to abandon it in Darfo. Here begins a climb of about 2 km that will lead us to our destination: Lake Moro, a typical alpine lake surrounded by forests and mountains.

If you are a culture and history lover we suggest you visit the whole area that in April 2000 was declared Natural Park of Lake Moro with five hills of great archaeological interest because of the many rock engravings and traces of settlements from the prehistoric age to the Roman age in the areas of Luine, Monticolo, Castellino, Sorline and the valley of Lake Moro.

If you are a darer and in search of strong emotions we suggest the alternative return route along the mule track that runs along Lake Moro and then through the woods up to Bessimo. Here you can resume the bike path already travelled on the way up.
